The Champagne house was created since 1943. in 1920 the official name came into being, when Yvonne de Méric de Bellefon married Edmond Besserat. Actually, the style of the house developed later. Edmond worked together with a restaurantmanager to create a Champagne with a creamy taste, which was usable in the high gastronomy. And they succeeded!
The grapes are mostly originated from the Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyard. By using less of the 'liquer de tirage' a elegant, but powerful Champagne arose. A particulary long-lasting mousse, with an intensely full tasted and silky mouthfeel.
